business education partnership

The Business Education Partnership is a unique pilot partnership between the Salem and Peabody Rotary Clubs and Salem CyberSpace who are collaborating to address the high school drop out rates and underachievement among the low-income, minority students attending Salem Public Schools. If you are a business in Salem and would like to “adopt” a high school student, please complete the form below. As an Education Partner, you will host a student for 6 months and agree to:

1. provide employment 2 – 4 hours per week at minimum wage
2. provide mentoring and tutoring*
3. provide college coaching*
4. celebrate achievement*
5. review report cards, grades, progress reports*
6. advocate for the child as required
7. if possible, provide summer employment

* these activities can be done during business hours or outside business hours
